NYC's Hideout Premiere New Song and Video at Stereogum Image

New York City-based indie pop duo Hideout have released a new song and video. Stereogum premiered "Picture Falling" saying the song "finds a melancholic spring. A buoyant guitar girds anxious thoughts and scenes." The video is a lovable, lo-fi performance from left-of-center songwriters Gabriel Rodriguez (Cults) and Scarlett Stephenson-Connolly, and its message is a resonant one. The lively pair playfully relay a familair sensation, that of surrendering mental stability to emotion.

The band elborate "Picture falling is about the moment before the panic kicks in. The thoughts and feelings right before the wave of paranoia washes over you. What brings you to that place? Politics? Love? Once it takes hold nothing else seems to matter. The song doesn't leave you with desperation, but rather, invites you to explore the fear -- to take hold and laugh along the wild ride."
