NYC's Finn & His Rustkickers Releasing Debut Double Studio Album Image

..Leave You Nothing to Squander... is the debut studio album from NYC's own Finn & His Rustkickers. It was recorded waaaay out on eastern Long Island at a swank joint called The Silo Studio with band members Bill Hafener and Finn Miller producing. Its lead-off single "on Peckham Rye" features a vinyl-only B-side, and is the subject of the band's first official video. Vinyl copies of the album will be available through the group's Bandcamp site, as well as Amazon on April 25.

Finn & His Rustkickers have been called "a cross between The Replacements and Graham Parsons" and "the bastard sons of The Cramps and Alex Chilton." Every show is unique with different influences and inspirations changing the songs and the tenor of their performances each time.

Work on ...Leave You Nothing to Squander... began in 2016 and continued throughout the following year. The songs on this double-LP are a mix of tunes written very much live in the studio, plus songs they started out with that just seemed too freakin' good to leave behind.

The Rustkickers was founded in 2014 and was originally intended as a one-off gig between old friends. Singer/multi-instrumentalist Finn Miller and fretless bassist John Borghardt have known each other since they were in Junior High together. They started the band Erratic Sculpture back in the 80's, put out a bunch of releases, played the East Coast college circuit, and regulars at some of NYC's coolest joints like Nightengale's and The Dive. Drummer Allen Criscuolo, John and guitarist Bill Hafener were members of the legendary NY band, The Skels, who knocked out numerous albums and gigged relentlessly back in the 80's.

In 2014, Miller was approached to play a onetime show at LIC Bar in Queens NYC. He turned to Bill to play this gig with him; the two had known each other for years but had never played together. The recruited their life-long pals and past bandmates, calling the aggregation "The Rustkickers." They had so much fun at that first show that they just kept on going and have looked back since. They performing regularly in NYC, with LIC Bar as their home base. The band quickly evolved into a genuine creative outlet, as well as an opportunity to make some noise.

While working on the studio album, the boys managed to put out digital double- sided singles monthly throughout 2017 via their Bandcamp site. These were a mix of cool covers and spankin' new originals. One of these, a cover of the 1973 Honey Drippers' anti-Nixon anthem "Impeach The President," was released as an obviously topical 7", their first physical release. The Rustkickers also digitally issued a live album Check Out What The Dog Dragged In. All this materials is available for streaming and download via all major streaming and digital retailers.

Work has also begun on album #2, tentatively scheduled for release by the end of 2018
