New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents an evening with singer-songwriter Jackson Browne for the first time, appearing with multi-instrumentalist Greg Leisz! Browne is the folk-rock hero behind some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music: "Doctor My Eyes," "Running on Empty," "The Pretender," "Somebody's Baby," "Stay/The Load Out," and more.
Since his classic debut album was released back in 1972, Browne has been a powerful force in popular music, known for his
Signature Sound of country-tinged folk-rock. He has since released 14 studio albums and four collections of live performances. Along the way, Browne has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
His most recent studio album, Standing in the Breach, is an acclaimed collection of songs that are both deeply personal and political, exploring love, hope, and defiance amidst the uncertainties of modern life. In its review of the album, Rolling Stone wrote: "This is a superb, inspiring album (of) deeply felt folk-rock ...
Jackson Browne remains one of America's most visionary and important songwriters." Be sure to reserve your tickets Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10 AM at NJPAC.org or 888.GO.NJPAC
