Musicians On Call (MOC), a groundbreaking nonprofit organization, this week celebrates 18 years of bringing live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in hospitals across the country. Since its creation in 1999 MOC has helped spread the healing power of music to 600,000 people, a true milestone for the organization. MOC would like to celebrate both milestones with supporters that helped make it all possible with a social media campaign asking everyone to post a photo from when they were 18 years old tagging @MusiciansOnCall and using the hashtag #hbdmoc18 on Facebook and Instagram. In honor of MOC's 18 years, supporters are also encouraged to give an $18 gift to help MOC continue to deliver the healing power of music across the country.

"Musicians On Call is growing rapidly, allowing us to reach more patients, families and caregivers than we ever have," said Pete Griffin, Musicians On Call President. "We're proud to be the largest provider of Volunteer Musicians in hospitals and we need your help more than ever to help us expand."

Musicians On Call has expanded its network to 59 hospital partners in 14 major markets ranging from children's hospitals to adult facilities, VA hospitals and hospices. MOC currently spreads the healing power of music in New York, Nashville, Miami, Dallas, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Denver, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Denver, San Francisco, Atlanta and more. By delivering live, in-room performances to patients undergoing treatment or unable to leave their beds, they add a dose of joy to life in a healthcare facility. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of MOC in Nashville which will be celebrated with high profile hospital visits, a community engagement campaign and an intimate event in the Fall. MOC supporters over the years include Bruce Springsteen, Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Justin Timberlake, Ed Sheeran, Reba, Gavin DeGraw, Darius Rucker, Pharrell, Amos Lee, Nick Jonas, Rachel Platten and many more.
