Music of the Americas presents a portrait concert of Canadian composer Dániel Péter Biró, which expands upon the research he conducted as a fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University and as a Guggenheim Fellow.

Dániel Péter Biró (b. 1969) is associate professor of composition and music theory at the University of Victoria in Victoria, BC, Canada. He studied in Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Israel before completing his PhD from Princeton University in2004.

This event is part of the MetLife Foundation Music of the Americas concert series and made possible by the generous support of Presenting Sponsor Metlife Foundation and the Canadian Council for the Arts. The Spring 2018 Music program is also supported in part by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.

This concert is FREE and open to the public.
