Moving Panoramas Share New Video For ADD Heart with Billboard, Sophomore Album Out 2/22 Image

Austin's Moving Panoramas have revealed the official video for their new single "ADD Heart" from their highly anticipated sophomore album In Two out February 22 via Modern Outsider (pre-order). The video which was directed by Willi Patton premiered at Billboard can also be shared at YouTube. About the video Patton says, "We were honored to be approached by Leslie Sisson of Moving Panoramas to do a music video for their new single, 'ADD Heart.' I knew immediately upon hearing the song that the energy needed to be high, and I really wanted to capture the feeling of not being able to focus, narratively as if the video itself suffers from ADD. It pushes you along in one direction, only to quickly switch course, pick up on some other thread, leaving more unanswered questions than resolutions. We're always so grateful to musicians for letting us experiment, to treat their work as a solid canvas to splash some paint on, deconstruct and then clumsily attempt to put back together." "ADD Heart" will be available on all streaming services this Friday.

"ADD Heart" is the second single to be released from In Two. In the fall, the band released "Baby Blues" and the official video for the single premiered at Audiofemme along with an exclusive interview with the band's Leslie Sisson. About the single Audiofemme says, "The track is an upbeat, shimmering pop jam replete with lead songstress Leslie Sisson's soothing vocals (she has amazing range by the way! I would guess her spirit animal might be a hummingbird...) floating above hooky guitar riffs and driving rhythm. The band's sound is simultaneously familiar and refreshing and the video is the perfect visual encapsulation. Starting with a dreamy boat ride over a tropical, watery vista, the viewer is taken on a hypnotizing , viceral adventure with the whole band, including their adorable chihuahua. By the end, the lines between fantasy and reality fade and we're left wishing for warmer climes."

Moving Panoramas make dream rock from Austin, Texas but it all began in Brooklyn, where songwriter Leslie Sisson lived while playing in a number of touring bands. She came back to her home state of Texas to be closer to her family after navigating through a series of life-changing events. This led to an array of songs that shaped the birth of the band. The debut LP One, released on Modern Outsider Records in 2015, conjured a wave of dream gaze and international acclaim. Houston Press calls Moving Panoramas "The best band in Texas right now." The Austin Chronicle describes them as, "Conjuring a big yet intimate sound reminiscent of Nineties output from Brit indie 4AD." PopMatters compares the music to Dum Dum Girls, Best Coast, and The Aislers Set saying, "Austin-based band Moving Panoramas waste no time creating a niche for themselves within that style on their debut album One. BrooklynVegan says, "Austin's Moving Panoramas make hazy psych-pop with the kind of intricate harmonies that instantly elevate things a couple inches off the ground."

As life would have it, unexpected roadblocks arose during production of the sophomore album, with health hiccups and timing twists causing release detours. Fortunately, the finish line has been crossed and the new LP, In Two, recorded with One engineer Louie Lino at Resonate in Austin and mixed by Danny Reisch at Good Danny's in Lockhart, finally takes flight in February 2019.

Moving Panoramas break the shell of One veritably In Two with the new record, expanding room for more diversity, rhythm, volume, instrumentation such as the swimmy pedal steel, plus special guestsMatthew Caws of Nada Surf, Sabrina Ellis of A Giant Dog/Sweet Spirit, and past Panoramas Karen Skloss, Jolie Flink, and Laura Colwell. Over the years, the band's lineup featured a moving cast of magical busy talent, but has luckily landed on the incredibly solid current Baby Blues crew withCara Tillman, Rozie Castoe, Jordan Rivell, Jody Suarez, and Phil McJunkins.

Additionally, Leslie plays solo and leads a country band called The Rated Exes with some of the Panoramas crew. Her history includes time in The Wooden Birds, Matt Pond PA, Western Keys, Black Lipstick, Black Forest Fire, Pavo, Aero Wave, and Tanworth-in-Arden, with guest performances for American Analog Set, Windsor for the Derby, Rhythm of Black Lines, Mark Gardener of Ride, Dan Mangan, John Wesley Coleman, and Broken Social Scene. She also toured as crew for Vampire Weekend, ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, and Sons and Daughters.

Historically, Karen Skloss, Geena Spigarelli, Ryan Fitzgibbon, Rachel Fuhrer, Jolie Flink of Mean Jolene, and Laura Colwell of Sun June have gracefully filled the musical chairs of Panoramas past, each with impressive personal priorities taking precedence allowing these insanely gifted stars to shine in their own skies. They are still part of the Panoramas universe, and many even contributed toIn Two. Moving Panoramas have always been and will always be all loving musicians. The end. Credits roll.
