With Morocco's Oasis Festival less than two months away, the final wave of artists has been announced for this one-of-a-kind festival experience taking place September 14-16 at the stunning Fellah Hotel in Marrakech.
Featuring Sasha, Hot Since 82, Joy Orbison, Cinthie and more, the final add-ons complement an already incredible line-up starring Avalon Emerson, Ben Klock, Carl Cox, DJ Koze, Honey Dijon, Jessy Lanza, Mount Kimbie, Peggy Gou, The Black Madonna and many more. In addition to the music, Oasis Festival will expand its cultural offerings with The Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) and 'Welcome to the Kingdom,' two new experiences set to showcase the very best of Morocco's contemporary art, culture and design.
Chief amongst the latest additions is Last Night on Earth frontman and GRAMMY-nominated producer Sasha, who is still riding high off the 2017 release of his 'Refracted' live album. Knee Deep in Sound label head and Ibiza favorite Hot Since 82 will also bring his signature house sound to the festival along with UK bass and techno sensation Joy Orbison. Rounding out the additions are tech house tastemaker Alex Niggemann, who will join Amine K and Denis Horvat for a b2b2b set, Chicago house hero Boo Williams, a special b2b set from Berlin's own Cinthie and local talent Myriam, DFA Records signee rRoxymore (live) and Morocco's own Unes, Kali G., Pandi, Fassi and LasriZ.
Along with the lineup additions, Oasis Festival will welcome The Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) to this year's edition. The museum, which has received praise from Forbes and Vogue along with hosting shows in New York and London to great acclaim, will bring a genuine slice of Moroccan art, history and culture while offering a window into the flourishing local creative scene. Also new for 2018 is 'Welcome to the Kingdom,' a cultural, creative and immersive space curated by acclaimed Moroccan fashion designer, Amine Bendriouich.
The captivating space will bring the best avant-garde offerings Morocco has to offer from the fields of design, music, art and culture. Marrakech's celebrated cocktail bar Barometre is set to make a return, offering up a unique and mouthwatering menu of fusion drinks thanks to their bespoke cocktail wizardry and alchemic mixing approach. Also returning for 2018 is the festival's hookah lounge, champagne bar and wide array of culinary delights from Marrakech's contemporary food scene. Coupled with a new on-site spa, daily yoga and meditation, sun-soaked swimming pools and tropical gardens, Oasis Festival 2018 will provide a relaxing atmosphere alongside a world class music lineup, making it the next must-attend festival this summer.
