Masterful indie folk-pop trio Moonrise Nation recently released their debut album, Glamour Child, July 28 on Zinc Records, a label formed by Bobby Z of Prince's band, The Revolution. Today, the trio share a beautiful live cover video of Talking Heads' "This Must Be The Place" with Earbuddy. Of the cover, the band explains, "This Must Be The Place hits home for us because it isn't grossly romantic or some cliche fairytale. It's so real. The more you strip it back the more tender it becomes."

The trio recently revealed the video for album cut
"Common Fear" via
POPULAR TV, following the premiere of chillingly beautiful album track
"Eye to Eye" via
Ghettoblaster, and title track "
Glamour Child," which currently has
1 million Spotify streams and counting. Additionally, Moonrise Nation recently had a chat with
Paste Magazine in a "Style Record" feature.
Hailing from Oak Park, Illinois, songwriting and vocal duties are equally shared between guitarist Emma McCall, keyboardist Arden Baldinger, and cellistEva Baldinger the latter two of which are sisters. Their storytelling is crafted from a very personal place, deftly sculpted into a layered, universal experience. Produced by Stephen Shirk (Alabama Shakes, Delta Spirit), the album captures the vertiginous,
Millennial high-lows of self-confidence and doubt, happiness and practicality, innocence and reality, feminist strength and vulnerability.
The band is currently on tour, serving up their unique, dynamic mix of swoony delicacy and anthemic pop peaks to audiences across the country. Be sure to catch Moonrise Nation live in a city near you and stay tuned for more news on their forthcoming album Glamour Child coming soon. Full list of dates
