Drew Holcomb has a lot to celebrate this week, beginning with the success of his annual Moon River Music Festival this past weekend, September 8-9, in Chattanooga, TN. Boasting an incredible line-up including The Avett Brothers, Mavis Staples, The Head and The Heart, Judah & the Lion, JOSEPH,I'm With Her, Margo Price and many more, the festival sold out in less than 24 hours in its fourth year and first at Chattanooga's Coolidge Park.
Holcomb and his wife, Ellie Holcomb, welcomed a son, Samuel Rivers Holcomb, into the world the morning after the festival, Monday, September 10th after performing together in front of thousands just hours before. The couple, who had already announced the return of Drew & Ellie's Neighborly Christmas this December, added a second Nashville show (Dec. 22nd) in addition to the already announced shows at Nashville'sSchermerhorn Symphony Center on Dec. 17th and Memphis' Orpheum Theatre on Dec. 21st! Full dates can be found below.
The whirlwind week for Holcomb comes after a huge summer touring withJOHNNYSWIM and Penny & Sparrow to support their collaborative Goodbye Road EP, which dropped in May. The politically charged single "Ring the Bells" landed the bands on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in August, and the stunning late-night performance earned the attention of Rolling Stone, Paste, and Billboard. The two artists will join forces again this October to play Chip & Joanna Gaines' annual Silobration in Waco, TX - for more information, click here.
In addition to being a musician, father, and festival presenter, Holcomb also continues to grow Magnolia Record Club, which he personally curates each month. An entrepreneur, Holcomb's own love for vinyl paired with his business savvy led him to create the subscription service, which this month is featured in the East Nashvillian - for information on how to subscribe, check out the feature here and visitwww.magnoliarecordclub.com.
This coming weekend, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors set their sights on KAABOO in San Diego, where they'll play on Sunday, September 16th at 2pm on the Rolling StoneStage alongside Wiz Khalifa, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, Foo Fighters and many more.
