At the crossroads of music and tech, Monster Energy & Outbreak Presentsbrings their latest fan-sourced UP AND UP FESTIVAL concept to the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds (421 27th St NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27105)where dance music trio Cash Cash will perform a special concert for fans on November 3. Starting today, Wednesday, October 12 at 10:00 AM ET, a limited amount of tickets for the Cash Cash show will be available to the public, until they sell out, here: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0E00514AC53563AC.
Instead of just picking a city to play, Cash Cash decided to do something different and put the booking in the hands of their fans. The group held a contest via the Tilt app: whichever college in the U.S. generated the most pre-sold tickets won the show in their town. Within days, the students of Wake Forest University in North Carolina banded together and were declared the winners.
The contest commenced on September 20th with Wake Forest University, University of Delaware and the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, all competing on tilt4monsteroutbreak.com. The first campus that sold 500 tickets would win the grand prize and have the UP AND UP FESTIVAL come to their college town at a local venue. Less than a week later, Wake ForestUniversity was declared the winner. Now that the exact fall date and location of the UP AND UP FESTIVAL has been revealed, all pre-sold money generated from colleges that did not win will be refunded.

THE UP AND UP FESTIVAL--Powered by Tilt, is more than just a festival; it's geared around the concept of fan-sourcing as students band together to compete against rival colleges for a multi-artist music festival in their city. The students feel a sense of ownership and camaraderie--not on the field, but online with a big party at the end.
"We make decisions on over 100 shows in North America throughout the year," explains Steven Ljubicic, General Manager at Outbreak Presents. "The fans will decide this one--all via social media and Tilt."
"Tilt brings opportunities like this to life, adds James Beshara, Tilt CEO and co-founder. "Every person who buys a ticket has skin in the game and will feel personally responsible for bringing Cash Cash to their school. Fan-sourced concerts could be the future of touring and how shows are determined in years to come. It's awesome to see a brand like Monster Energy at the front of it all."
