Monika's Critically Acclaimed 'Secret In The Dark' Out Today

Shared earlier this week with Paste Magazine, Monika releases her critically acclaimed album Secret In The Dark today via Other Music Recording Co. With two platinum records under her belt, Monika emerges with a cunningly crafted collection influenced by '80s art pop and organic leftfield disco tones. In celebration of its release, she reveals the "Secret In The Dark" video and will be featured on NPR's Weekend Edition this Saturday, October 3rd!

Secret In The Dark breathes generational genre-spanning influences. Recorded at the Daptone-renowned Dunham Sounds Studios (Sharon Jones, Charles Bradley, Dan Auerbach) and produced by Dap-Kings & Menahan Street Band founding member Homer Steinweiss, the album calls upon the genre's forefathers with its own contemporary edge.

Monika's live show is a force to be reckoned with. Fans in NYC can catch her electrifying energy during at the album release show next week, followed by a series of CMJ showcases + UK and French dates.
