Miranda Lambert's MuttNation 'Best in Show' at the 2018 CMA Fest Image

For the 3rd consecutive year, Miranda Lambert's charitable organization, MuttNation Foundation, has proven that country fans have hearts as big as her home state of Texas by coming out and adopting 56 dogs during the 4-day event at the Music City Center - with over 150 MuttNation pups adopted at this event alone over the 3-year period.

Founded in 2009 by Miranda and her mom, Bev Lambert, the foundation supports and partners with shelters across the country and, since its inception, has helped thousands of dogs find loving 'forever' homes as well as transport thousands more during times of natural disaster. When asked why they decided to start MuttNation, Bev said "Since early childhood Miranda has had a keen love for pets of all kinds, but especially for dogs. As her passion and platform grew it was only natural to want to use her voice to make a difference in their lives. Co-founding MNF was a great way to use our strong mother-daughter bond to further a cause so near and dear to our hearts."

At the core of MuttNation's mission is advancing the adoption of shelter pets. The MuttNation activation during CMA Week has allowed the charity to accomplish its goals while engaging Miranda's mutt-loving fans who travel from near and far - some specifically to see the dogs. One family drove 11 hours from Pennsylvania just to meet their new pet, and said, "Marley, formally known as Priscilla, has already made herself right at home in Pennsylvania. She's the perfect fit for our family!"

Many of the dogs that were adopted at this year's event were named in honor of some of country music's biggest stars, including:Lady A., Zac Brown, Luke Bryan, George Strait, Keith Urban, Dottie West, Tammy Wynette and, of course, Lambert - just to name a few.

Nashville Humane Association, MNF's partner for the 2018 CMA Fest Adoption event, provided the adoptable dogs and worked closely with MuttNation to make this event such a resounding success. "We're thrilled that we were able to team up with MuttNation and find families for so many amazing dogs at this great event. We encourage everyone to come by Nashville Humane to see all of the beautiful animals for adoption," said Becca Morris, NHA Director of Development & Community Outreach.

Many people who are not able to adopt a pet ask how they can help Miranda and MuttNation continue their great work. There are several things that anyone can do: volunteer at a local shelter, foster an animal, purchase from the MuttNation Fueled by Miranda Lambert pet collection by Petmate (100% of Miranda's profits benefit MuttNation), become a MuttNation Citizen, enter to wintheone-of-a kind Miranda signed guitar via CrowdRise, or donate to MuttNation. It's really that simple. www.muttnation.com, www.crowdrise.com/muttnationguitar, www.muttnation.com/foundation/citizens,www.muttnation.co/amazon
