Mickey Lamantia Featured in Rolling Stone Country, Releases EVERY BAD HABIT Image

As featured in Rolling Stone Country, Mickey Lamantia's new album "Every Bad Habit" is everything fans wanted from the artist, containing all the elements of outlaw country, America, sentiment, whiskey and guns. Lamantia worked with producer Bill McDermott who has produced records for Tim McGraw, Emmylou Harris and John Michael Montgomery. "Every Bad Habit" debuted in the Top 10 on the iTunes Country Chart, two songs off the album have already amassed over 2.5 million views on Facebook and his music has been featured on SiriusXM's Outlaw Country Channel.

Before opening for acts like Willie Nelson and Tanya Tucker, Lamantia spent years as a correctional officer in his home state of Rhode Island. "Outlaw Country as told by a guy who's spent time in the pen - though not necessarily on the wrong side of the bars," said Rolling Stone Country. In 2015 Lamantia wrote "The Dash" in honor of his grandfather and decided to pursue songwriting. Since then his weekly Facebook live series called "Whiskey Wednesdays" gets 20,000 views each week.

"Every Bad Habit" stands out not only for it's unique traditionalism in the way it delivers its messages, but also for the complete lack of the trendy, hipster, may-or-may-not-be-Americana sound currently saturating the independent-but-not-totally-independent market. Lamantia has carved his own path in the music industry and he goes around rather than through what many artists think is most important, like being on a label or playing all the right venues.
