Metronomy deliver visual for new single, The Upsetter arguably the unsung masterpiece from the band's fourth studio album 'Love Letters' (Elektra Records/Because Music); a stunning, melancholic, melodic, lo-fi love ballad that was recorded and sung live to become Joe Mount's imaginary campfire sing-along song.

In his own words: "Me and Oscar (Cash) went camping in Easte Prawle, Devon. One night we came back to our tents late after an evening at the local pub. The walk was very beautiful under the stars, we spent the whole time bumping into the sides of the road because we were craning our necks. Once back at the camp we caught our second wind with a bottle of whisky and lit a fire. Uncharacteristically I found myself wishing we had brought an acoustic guitar along with us, Oscar has an impressive Beatles repertoire. I also desperately wanted to send some text messages, but we had no reception. The Upsetter is the campfire singalong we never had, it is played and sung entirely live."

In conjunction with the single, Metronomy will also be releasing an accompanying music video directed by the Californian Encyclopedia Pictura (Bjork, Grizzly Bear) and produced by Rona Vergne. The conceptual video is set in the loneliness of the wilderness and is based on themes of human desire to seek love and companionship. The video features stunning visual effects and skillful puppetry, creating seamlessly integrated, richly emotional storyline of vulnerable isolation. You can view the video here.

Metronomy is the sole creation of singer, writer and producer and expert musician Joseph Mount. His band are: Oscar Cash (keys, sax, vox), Anna Prior (drums, vox), Gbenga Adelekan (vox, bass).
