Partners Matt Smallwood and Keith Smout announce the launch of All My People today, anchoring themselves as Canada's latest full service music management and record label imprint. Located in Toronto, the All My People model combines Smallwood's expertise as a leading figure in artist and label services in the music industry, while Smout brings his knowledge in sponsorship, merchandising and event marketing.The pairing of each co-founders' skills elevate All My People to provide services beyond artist management with the addition of an in-house record label imprint that will embrace the technology and innovation that is driving the evolution of the industry.
"Keith and I are a great yin and yang. Keith's years of expertise in sponsorship, merchandising and event marketing in Formula 1 racing and my record business acumen and artist/label services background, make for a great combination," says Smallwood.
"What we've both learned in recent years is the power of technology with a wonderful asset like music. Our goal is to find the perfect place where those two things intersect and use them as a springboard for an artist's success," adds Smout.
All My People's roster currently includes North America management representation for seminal punk act, The Stranglers, iconic Canadian acts The Spoons and Platinum Blonde, Australian singer/songwriter Mark Seymour and developing UK act, Max Raptor.
"We service our clients' needs. If a band needs to get a single or an album out, we have the expertise and infrastructure in place to do that," says Smallwood.
On May 28, All My People will make its first release as a firm with The Stranglers 19th studio album, Giants, which Fontana North Distribution will issue throughout North America.
Smallwood notes, "It's really a do-it-yourself world we live in. The barriers to entry for artists have almost all completely come down, and likewise for the fan." Smout continues, "There are now incredible artist tools at our fingertips; utilizing technology applications and social media to bring artists and fans closer together is a huge priority for All My People."
