Mary Gatchell Performing at Leddy Center, 10/3

Mary Gatchell will be performing her great music with her NYC band at Leddy Center at Verdant Pastures in Epping, NH, Friday evening, October 3, at 7:30pm. Mary Gatchell is a dynamic singer, pianist, and composer living in New York City, and will be debuting her music video, Shining Star, which can be seen and heard on iTunes now! With four albums to her credit and a new music video, Shining Star, she has played in legendary clubs such as the Blue Note, Birdland, Bitter End, CBGB's, Knitting Factory, Boston House of Blues, Ryles, and many more. From Epping, NH, Mary studied voice, piano, and oboe at NYU, graduating Magna cum Laude, earning her degree in theory and composition. Mary studied with renowned composers Jim McNeely and Justin Delio Joio. Mary has written several pieces, not only with traditional rock instrumentation for her own group, but also for orchestra, choir, and chamber ensembles. Mary is Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Siena Summer Music, a chamber music festival in Italy for talented, young instrumentalists, opera singers, and composers. Joining Mary is Ken Dow on bass. Ken played with Chris Thompson (Manfred Mann's Earth Band, lead vocalist on international hit "Blinded by the Light), Brian May & Roger Taylor of Queen, Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger of The Doors, and currently performs on stage in Jersey Boys on Broadway.

Also joining Mary is Craig Magnano on guitar. With degrees from Purchase and Manhattan School of Music, Craig currently plays for Jersey Boys, Next to Normal and Wicked on Broadway. He also played on Broadway for The Lion King, Hairspray, and Spring Awakening.

On drums, Mary has the incredible Dillard Dyson. Internationally known, Dillard, as Regina Belle's drummer, toured the US, Japan and Europe, as well as appearing on The Tonight Show, Soul Train, The Arsenio Hall Show, and Good Morning America. He has been called "perfect, imaginative, sensitive, exciting and subtle, with a stunning flair for devastating funk".
