The performance is part of the church's very popular "Music at the Basilica Series" launched two years ago by pastor Father Michael Vetrano.
A dominant presence in Irish music for the last quarter-century, singer Mary Black has earned international appeal through her exploration of work from new composers and commitment to fresh material. Her unique song interpretations and incredibly pure vocals have resulted in platinum album sales worldwide.
Mary has released 11 studio albums, all of which achieved platinum sales status and spawned countless hits. She has shared stages, TV shows and recording studios with some of the most revered performers of her time. The UK magazine What Hi-Fi? considers Mary Black's voice to be so pure that they have repeatedly used it for comparing the sound quality of different high fidelity systems. The Last Call Tour will bring to an end a music career that dates back to the 1970's in Dublin.
