County Durham indie-punks Martha release their new single "The Void", the latest taste of their eagerly anticipated new album Love Keeps Kicking. The track is a sci-fi inspired, truly Martha-style take on the unstable state of the world at present. Of the single the band say:
"Hello again friends, here is another new song! It's called 'The Void' and it's about the cosmic darkness that's engulfing the planet and all life on it. Impending ecological catastrophe, nuclear Armageddon, ancient gods awakening, suicidal ideation... We're staring into the Void... In brighter news, our show at the Garage SOLD OUT in advance, so we just announced another one and it's our biggest one ever! It's at a venue called 'Heaven' in London this October! Please grab a ticket and come! Thank you! PS: Album's out soon!"
Martha are also massively excited to announce a huge gig at London's Heaven this November. Tickets are on sale now. The band are about to embark on their extensive UK / European tour, which sees them play some of their biggest headline shows to date, including a sold out nights in Newcastle, Brighton, Bristol and at The Garage, London on April 16th. Full list of dates below, tickets for all shows are available from marthapunx.com.
Love Keeps Kicking, the third album from the County Durham indie-punks, will be released on April 5th via Dirtnap Records in North America. The album is in-part a breakup record which takes the journey through the full spectrum of emotions associated with heartbreak. In true Martha style, the album takes heavy subject matter and turns them into a riotous cause for celebration, reminding the listener that what hurts right now, won't hurt forever. In Love Keeps Kicking, Martha let their pop hooks lead the way, and finds the band writing with reinvigorated focus, producing some of the finest hooks and choruses to date.
Martha's Love Keeps Kicking is set to be released April 5th via Dirtnap Records (North America) and Big Scary Monsters (UK/EU/ROW), and is available to preorder.
