NORTH BY NORTHEAST (NXNE) announces the second round of speakers for NXNE Interactive (NXNEi), taking place June 17-21 at the Hyatt Regency Toronto. Now in its fifth year, NXNEi spotlights digital disruption in technology, music, film, and trendsetting with speakers including the politically and intellectually charged Actor, Comedian, Writer and Podcaster MARC MARON as a keynote speaker and RICKEN PATEL, the founding president and executive director of Avaaz, an online campaigning community that The Guardian called "the globe's largest and most powerful online activist network".

Cultural visionaries will take a break from shaking up and reshaping the world to share rare insights and give never-before-heard talks on their trailblazing experiences during NXNEi including VICE co-founder SUROOSH ALVI, who will discuss his first-hand experience with peer-to-peer storytelling and gonzo-style war journalism during conflicts in Congo, Pakistan, and the Gaza Strip; MakeLoveNotPorn creator CINDY GALLOP, who refers to herself as the "Michael Bay of business" because she likes to "blow sh*t up!"; VICTORIA TAYLOR, reddit's Director of Communications and Vice President of Strategy at Sonic Boom Creative Media; UJWAL ARKALGUD, exploring how online communities affect our daily communication and define societal trends; and artistic hacker EVAN ROTH, described by the Huffington Post as an artist who "sees raw technology and the unseen inner-workings of computers and devices as his tool box for art making."

NXNEi will also present writer and filmmaker KESTRIN PANTERA, discussing how the tech industry's unconventional, agile approach helped her make a successful indie film; ADAM GARONE, co-founder and CEO of Movember - a foundation that has raised $570 million for men's health through the power of the moustache; MemeFactory co-creator and host of PBS' Idea Channel MIKE RUGNETTA, who examines connections between pop culture and technology; and Brothers RYAN and HAYS HOLLADAY, called "darlings of the art and music scenes" by the New York Times for their work exploring the intersection of art, music, and technology.

Previously announced NXNEi speakers include OVO founder and Drake's co-manager OLIVER EL-KHATIB, giving his first public talk; Pitchfork President CHRIS KASKIE; and PAUL ROSENBERG, President of Shady Records and CEO of Goliath Artists.
