Then Augustin Hadelich makes his MSO debut with the graceful melodies and varied moods of Prokofiev's ravishing violin concerto. Finally, Tchaikovsky's brightest symphony combines the vivacious folk songs of "Little Russia," (an affectionate name for the Ukraine) with all his characteristic elegance and lyricism.
