Stroll through bustling marketplaces and down the sun-splashed streets of ancient Spain in Debussy's Ibéria, a vibrant work that unites full orchestra with the click of castanets and the strum of guitars. Then Augustin Hadelich makes his MSO debut with the graceful melodies and varied moods of Prokofiev's ravishing violin concerto. Finally, Tchaikovsky's brightest symphony combines the vivacious folk songs of "Little Russia," (an affectionate name for the Ukraine) with all his characteristic elegance and lyricism.
Overture Center for the Arts is located at 201 State Street, Madison, WI 53703.
