MUTEK's inaugural edition in San Francisco kicks off this Thursday, taking place at 9 venues throughout the city and featuring cultural experiences of many types. Through live electronic music performance, AV experiences, panel discussions, art installations, and a specially curated culinary track, MUTEK.SF will celebrate San Francisco's potent mixture of technological innovation, intellectualism, immigration, and futurism. The festival will feature a plethora of artists and cultural leaders, some presenting North American and West Coast premieres, from the Bay Area, North America, and around the world. Passports for the entire festival, as well as tickets for individual events are available HERE.

A complete schedule of events can be found HERE, with events happening at Bimbo's 365 Club, Gray Area Grand Theater, Mezzanine, California Academy of Sciences, The Herbst Theatre, and The Midway. The events are divided into four tracks: A/Visions, featuring presentations that cross the boundaries of audio and visual works; Nocturne , featuring live electronic music performance; Digi Lab, panel discussions and artist talks; and Experience, an all-encompassing celebration at The Midway on Sunday.
