MPeach is an exhilarating chromatic journey of vision and sound. The project is a multimedia powerhouse production of Mariana Martin Capriles, a Brooklyn-based Venezuelan artist who is growing her reputation simultaneously as a vocalist, songwriter, video artist, and designer. She layers these varied disciplines by creating multimedia experiences that carry folk cultures through space and time on a wave of digital pop that she refers to as Latino del Futuro (#latinodelfuturo).
The first leg of her multi-disciplined media project is the soundtrack, her debut album MALANIA. Sonically, the album is a representation of Mariana's overall aesthetic through sonic crosspollination of influences from Latin America, the Caribbean, North America, and Europe. High energy dance beats meet low-end bass, and then flirt with rhythms rooted in traditions from her native Venezuela. The first single from the album "Malania" (released in March) was featured on THUMP stating, "...this is global music at its very finest."
The album will be followed with a series of online videos for each of the ten songs on the album. Visit MPeach's website for more updates from her world as she digitally rolls out new content on a regular basis! Follow all things MPeach using #latinodelfuturo on social media.
