MIAMI ROCKS OUR TROOPS' already extensive lineup just got more exciting with the addition of new dynamic acts for the benefit concert celebration. Set to take place at the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami Sept. 29, the concert will benefit HonorVet.org, an organization that has assembled a network of professionals who are dedicated to helping veterans and their families in their lives after service. The benefit concert will have something to offer to music fans of all different genres.

Recently added to the already impressive lineup are: renowned Puerto Rican duo Angel & Khriz, also known as "the MVPs of Reggaeton", American Idol winner Kris Allen, who released his second major-label album Thank you Camellia earlier this year; 5 time Grammy winner Colombian musician Jorge Villamizar, who became one of the most recognized Latin American singers as the former lead singer of the Miami-based Latin music group Bacilos; and multi-platinum selling recording artist and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Billy Ray Cyrus.
HonorVet.org is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the overall well-being of veterans, service members and their loved ones. Striving to become The Next Generation Community for Veterans, HonorVet.org is working with experts in a variety of fields to develop custom support systems, leverage existing resources and organize information across a wide spectrum so that its members have a one-stop shop of support, benefits and friendship. The organization provides the men and women who put their life on the line for their country with career services, instant mental health counseling and a secure social community, among other invaluable services.

MIAMI ROCKS OUR TROOPS will be an unforgettable musical event that will bring together some of the industry's top acts for a good cause. Other artists confirmed already include, Miami's own multi-Grammy winner Jon Secada, top guitarist and rock and roll hall of famer Billy Gibbons; multi-Grammy award winner Jose Feliciano, American dance/club music sensation Erika Jayne, Miami Native American Idol contestant Sammy Arriaga, award winning country music artist Danielle Peck, Latin sensation Ana Isabelle, and Ahmir - the most popular R&B group on You Tube.

Produced by Paraiso Pictures in partnership with Comcast, benefit concert will be honoring and supporting America's veterans by directly financing crucial resources and services instantly available through HonorVet.org. This national 501 (C) (3) organization was founded by two US Marines, Jesse Canella and Jim McCain, who served together in the Al Anbar Province in Iraq. The charitable purpose of HonorVet.org is to assist American veterans returning from years of wars by helping them to reestablish themselves in civilian life.
"The lineup for the benefit concert is as diverse as the culture of Miami, a city that is home to many of our Latino veterans," said Jesse Canella, CEO and Co-Founder of HonorVet.org. "Benefits from the event will help us continue supporting, through a wide array of services, those who unselfishly served our nation."
