On May 19, Philadelphia's Low Cut Connie return with their fourth studio album Dirty Pictures (Part 1) available worldwide via Contender Records. The album was recorded live-to-analog tape at the legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN and is now available for pre-order.
Low Cut Connie have shared "Revolution Rock n Roll," the first song to be released from the album. In their most recent issue, Rolling Stone featured the song in the playlist and said, "If the
New York Dolls had done a session with Jerry Lee Lewis, it'd sound a lot like the Philadelphia rockers' new one - a political anthem drunkenly teetering on platform heels." The song recently broke the top 100 on the AAA radio chart.

Low Cut Connie is the brainchild of wild frontman Adam Weiner and quickly gained attention in 2011 with the release of their debut album Get Out The Lotion. The rolling DIY caravan known for their explosive live shows has been bubbling under the surface of the music industry for 5 years, building an obsessive fanbase from all walks of life. Their most famous fan, former President Barack Obama, chose their anthem of low-brow American life
"Boozophilia" for his Spotify Playlist and met with Weiner at the White House in 2016.
The band recently wrapped up a run of more than 8 shows at SXSW 2017 and have announced a massive US Tour.
Rolling Stone's David Fricke named the band one of his favorites of 2017 and called them "...a roaring quintet that sounds as loud and full as the early E Street Band, are absolutely contemporary in their drive to old-school joy."
"We've been thought of as a great party band by so many people, and we wear that as a badge of honor, but I really wanted to go deeper with this record," said Weiner, who also produced their latest effort. "We've been travelling this country now for a number of years, meeting people of all stripes, entertaining them in their bars and sleeping on their couches, laughing hard, holding them tight and sweating it out with them...I wrote this record really thinking about how people are feeling and living in this country these days. It's a wild scene out there."
The band is now rounded out by James Everhart (lead guitar), Will Donnelly (rhythm guitar), Larry Scotton (drums), and Lucas Rinz (bass). With raunchy instrumental work from all the Connie boys pushing the envelope, the material on Dirty Pictures (Part 1) delights and wallows in the seedy life of America in 2017. "Revolution Rock n Roll" calls to arms our perverse and noble youthful instincts while "Death & Destruction" simply sums up our dirty American life under the Trump administration by proclaiming "Everybody's acting like an asshole." The album also features a bracing cover of Prince's "Controversy." Speaking of the recent passing of his hero Prince Rogers Nelson, Weiner said "It will take time for us to understand what we have lost."
The band, who have for the past 5 years, carted a 400 pound piano named Shondra around the country, was recently called "the essence of what rock n roll should be" by Greg Kot and the New York Times has said "their live show is a phenomenon."
The band has recently announced a nationwide tour in support of the forthcoming album. Find a full list of tour dates below.
