Singer-songwriter/lyricist Lorine Chia teamed up with hip hop greats The Game and Whiz Khalifa to create her latest colossal record entitled "Two Blunts" from her forthcoming EP dropping summer '16.
The Cameroon-born now LA-based artist debuted in 2012 with the release of her album "Lorine" to which
Complex hails Chia as a, "Very unique voice that reminds many of Amy Winehouse" and deemed her debut effort as a "great listen." The 405, Billboard and Pigeons And Planes soon followed with their endorsement of Chia's emergence with "Lorine."
The following year Chia revealed more facets of her musicianship with her sophomore effort "Naked Truths" playing both guitar ("Water To Wine") and keys ("Dance In The Rain"). The Fader raved they were "so hooked." Soon thereafter, her artistry was discovered by the likes of Wall Street Journal, Essence, and Interview Magazine while she was also crowned one of Cocoa Cola's 'Artist of The Week' 2013.
Pitchfork went on to describe her as, "Plucked from a different era, but...ultra-contemporary."
Continually climbing the ladder of success with her 2015 release of the EP "ONOMATOPOIEC," produced by Slade Da Monsta, Chia coined a collaboration with
Young Jeezy and Janelle Monae for the song "Sweet Life." The mass appeal of the Jeezy single led to Chia's televised performance alongside the Def Jam recording artist on CBS' The Late Late Show.
As she gears up for the release of her latest EP this summer, Lorine Chia recently dropped visuals for "I Just Want To Live" and "Only One" garnering praise from Crave, Saint Heron, and The Fader.
