Legendary Los Angeles reggae-rock outfit Long Beach Dub Allstars have announced the dates for their impending summer tour with The Aggrolites, Tomorrows Bad Seeds and Mike Pinto. The tour kicks off late May and runs through August, hitting all major cities across the United States and Canada. Dates and ticket information can be found online at www.lbdamusic.com.
"I'm really excited to play with my brothers in the band and to hit the road with The Aggrolites," said Long Beach Dub frontman Opie Ortiz. "It's been a blast getting back into the studio with these guys and can't wait for everyone to hear the record."
"We can't wait to get this new record out to the world and we're so stoked to be hitting the road with our buddies in Long Beach Dub," added Roger Rivas from The Aggrolites. "We're going to visit a lot of great cities that we haven't been to in ages."
Long Beach Dub Allstars picked up the torch after the tragic passing of Sublime singer Bradley Nowell in 1996. The band released two now-classic albums "Right Back" (1999) and "Wonders of the World" (2001) that are considered to be highly influential to the new wave of Cali Reggae. Long Beach Dub Allstars' unique mixture of danceable reggae beats and fiery punk-rock energy left a lasting imprint on the Southern California surf-and-skate youth scene subculture that is still felt today.
Long Beach Dub Allstars is currently commencing the recording process for their new album. Long Beach Dub Allstars released their first new music in nearly two decades with two new tracks "Holding Out" and "Steady Customer". This is the first new music from Long Beach Dub Allstars since the release of 2001's "Wonders of the World".
