LiveXLive Media, Inc. (LIVX) ("LiveXLive"), a global digital media company focused on live entertainment, announced today that as the exclusive global livestreaming partner for Insomniac's events, LiveXLive will livestream Insomniac's HARD Summer Music Festival 2018 on August 4 and August 5, 2018.
Founded in 2007, HARD Summer rapidly rose to prominence. Known for programming a mix of established and emerging electronic, hip-hop, and underground dance artists, HARD introduced Skrillex, Diplo, and Justice, among others, to an American audience. Considered one of the most influential festivals on the calendar, HARD Summer 2018 is expected to draw 160,000 music fans.
In addition to select performances, LiveXLive will air artist interviews, behind-the-scenes content and backstage exclusives from the festival, which the Los Angeles Times described as "the definitive LA dance festival." A two-day event at the Speedway in Fontana, California, HARD Fest headliners this year include Marshmello, Travis Scott, Rick Ross, and a joint set from Diplo and Dillon Francis.
Earlier this year, LiveXLive and Insomniac entered into a partnership agreement that established LiveXLive as the exclusive global livestreaming partner for Insomniac's events. In May 2018, LiveXLive livestreamed Insomniac's Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, the largest multi-day music festival in North America.
Viewers can stream select and curated performances, as well as related original content on www.livexlive.com's exclusive Insomniac Channel and the LiveXLive apps for iOS, Android, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV. An audio-only stream will be also available on LiveXLive Media's fully-owned streaming radio platform, Slacker (www.slacker.com). The start times and livestream lineup will be announced on www.livexlive.com and LiveXLive's social handles and apps.
