Life is Beautiful Festival continues to stun music lovers with unexpected additions to its genre-spanning music lineup. Just announced as part of the three-day music, food, art and learning festival in Downtown Las Vegas on October 24 - 26 are electro-pop group Little Dragon, mega-DJ Baauer, songstress Kimbra, Nahko and Medicine for the People, breakout band Echosmith, and experimental indie rock group Bear Hands.
In their first Vegas appearance to-date, Little Dragon brings its Swedish-based form of electro-pop to the Life is Beautiful stage after a highly successful festival season. Baauer, of "Harlem Shake" fame, will add to the already robust DJ roster, which includes Skrillex, Girl Talk, A-Trak and more. Australian singer Kimbra will make the festival her first this year as she prepares to release her second album. Echosmith, siblings who have made it big with their breakout hit "Cool Kids" and were recently named one of MTV's Artists to Watch, will also be joining the festival as well as spiritual Portland-based musicians Nahko and Medicine For the People and New York-based punk, indie rock band Bear Hands.
"This lineup was specifically designed for the Las Vegas audience," states Allen Scott, Executive Vice President with Another Planet Entertainment. "Compared to other festivals, it's one of the most diverse and impressive lineups this season-with many acts who rarely, if ever, play that area - and we can't wait to see how fans react."
Expanding from a two-day to a three-day cultural event, in response to the success of its first year, Life is Beautiful will once again play host to the world's top musicians, chefs and cultural icons for an inspiring weekend in Downtown Las Vegas. The festival will feature an eclectic lineup of nearly 70 internationally established and emerging bands on four outdoor stages, including already announced talent, such as Kanye West, Foo Fighters, OutKast, Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex, Lionel Richie, The Weeknd, The Flaming Lips, Girl Talk, Alt-J, The Roots, Kacey Musgraves, Fitz & The Tantrums and many more, plus a special performance from The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil with members of the Las Vegas Philharmonic.
Back for another year of culinary copiousness are chefs Bruce Bromberg and Eric Bromberg (Blue Ribbon, Brooklyn Bowl - Board Co-chairs), Scott Conant (Scarpetta - Board Member), Hubert Keller (Fleur by Hubert Keller - Board Member), Giada De Laurentiis (Giada), José Andrés (minibar by José Andrés), Cat Cora (Co-Founder of Chefs for Humanity - Board Member), Nancy Silverton (Mozza Restaurant Group), and dozens more.
