Additionally, Lissie's acoustic version of her single "Best Days" debuts today. Listen/share the track here: http://bit.ly/2o5jRzU. "Best Days" debuted #27 on the US AAA radio chart, which was up from 52 spots the week prior. It was also the second biggest gainer with 93 additional spins last week and continues to receive critical praise from Independent, who proclaims, "[Lissie has] landed on perhaps the most progressive music of her career." The song appears on her highly anticipated fourth studio album, Castles, out on March 23. Castles can be pre-ordered here: https://lissie.lnk.to/Castles
Written predominantly from Lissie's farm in Northeast Iowa, Castles represents a new openness in her approach to songwriting and recording. Having moved out of the music industry machine and back to her native Midwest, the groundedness she found living and working on a farm ushered in a period of exploration. Castles is a portrait of an artist who has always been on the move and is finally creating a sense of permanency-a chance to catch her breath and reflect.
Lissie's album My Wild West-the follow up to Catching a Tiger (2010) and Back to Forever (2013)-peaked at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and Top 10 on the Independent Album chart. Lissie also appeared in the most recent season of David Lynch's Twin Peaks with NME saying of her "intense" performance: "Closing the episode with the Stevie Nicks-esque 'Wild West,' Rock Island's most exciting troubadour more than earned her Lynch-commissioned screen time."
