Now based in Brooklyn by way of Memphis, thoughtful singer and songwriter Lindsey Luff tenderly combines Americana and folk-pop for a bright yet nuanced sound on her self-titled debut album, out today.
Recorded in Nashville and Brooklyn with producer Brian T. Murphy, the self-titled
Lindsey Luff offers up nine songs about love, loss and leaving. There's sadness here, but there's uplift, too, with Luff finding the silver lining in her own struggles. With her full-length debut, Luff makes sense of her past without polishing its raw, rough edges.
A team effort,
Lindsey Luff was co-written with a small group of collaborators including The Lone Bellow's Brian Elmquist. Described as "a soaring love song that captures young love in its prime" by PopMatters, listen to the track "Until It's True" which Elmquist co-wrote
HERE.
"Lindsey Luff has such a unique voice and a story to tell," Elmquist explained. "This song struck me from the beginning, and defines her writing, as it lifts you out of the cynicism so typical these days and takes you to a place where you want to genuinely believe in something. I'm really excited for folks to hear this music."
