Libra Theater Company is set to present Songs You Should Know, a concert of new and rarely performed songs by some of today's most exciting music theater writers. Hosted by Jeremy Morse (Drama Desk nominee, Bloodsong of Love) and Jennifer Ashley Tepper (If It Only Even Runs a Minute), Songs You Should Know includes new work from Brad Alexander, Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, Joshua H. Cohen and Lavell Blackwell, Bobby Cronin, Adam Gwon, Caleb Hoyer, Joe Iconis, Russ Kaplan and Sara Wordsworth, Pete Mills, and Will Reynolds. The concert will feature performances by Alex Brightman, Sarah Corey, Scott Coulter, Blair Goldberg, F. Michael Haynie, MK Lawson, and Kevin Michael Murphy with additional performers to be announced.

About the company: "Libra Theater Company is dedicated to creating quality New York theater that honors and works with the commitments of its artists. In its inaugural 2010-11 season, the company presented its first mainstage production of The Entropy Songs, a musical by 2011 Jonathan Larson Grant recipient Joshua H. Cohen, as well as Fleet Week and Other Reasons to Sail, a concert of songs by Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, and Midsummer Musicals, an evening of readings of short musicals. In addition to Songs You Should Know, Libra's current season includes William Shakespeare's What You Will (…or 12th Night), a second Midsummer Musicals, and the company's new play reading series In the Balance."
