The return of
Liam Gallagher has instigated a massive public rediscovery of one of the greatest voices of an era. After releasing "Wall Of Glass," Gallagher's first solo gigs ranged from emotional scenes in his hometown of Manchester, to triumphant sing-a-longs at this year's Glastonbury Festival, and packed secret club shows in New York City and
Chicago that won't soon be forgotten by those lucky enough to get in. That momentum was heightened with the release of "Chinatown" and "For What It's Worth" - the latter of which prompted NME to state:"Liam goes full Oasis ballad on this emotive powerhouse of a tune. One for festival fields and arenas." The accolades don't stop there:
"I've got no idea what it means - but it sure sounds good, doesn't it?" - Spin
"'As You Were' stands as proof that rock's most charismatic general is back on active service and spoiling for trouble. How we've missed him."- Q Magazine (U.K.)
"Gallagher snarls over raucous power chords, pounding drums and wailing harmonica. 'Wall Of Glass' pairs a vintage Oasis attack with modern production sheen." - Rolling Stone
"It's by some stretch the best Liam-fronted material in two decades... a genuinely iconic voice amid strong material." - Mojo Magazine (U.K.)
