Over a year after the release of its most recent album, the Polaris Prize-longlisted P.O.P, Le Couleur is thrilled to announce five remixes of the album's second track, "Underage," packaged as the Underage Remix EP, out Feb 23. The Underage Remix EP arrives as a celebration of Le Couleur's monumental recent successes, starting with that fortuitous Polaris Prize longlisting and moving forward. An early Le Couleur song, "Femme," can be heard in the TBS show Search Party; this appearance shot the song into the millions of streams on YouTube and Spotify. NYLON, CLASH and Louder than War all simultaneously caught on to the band's vibrant, energetic live show at M for Montreal 2017; not long after, the band was accepted to play SXSW 2018-showcase details are forthcoming. Stream P.O.P, which began it all, via BrooklynVegan.
Montreal's most exciting disco-influenced act, Le Couleur, is thrilled to offer fans five new new versions of its alluring 2016 track "Underage." The Underage Remix EP will arrive Feb 23, opening with a new version of "Underage" with Francophone vocals replaced by English lyrics from Tim Fletcher (ex-The stills, current member of Megative). French artists Bleu Toucan, Rocky, and French 79, as well as veteran electronic duo In Flagranti contribute remixes; the EP ends with the original track. The new takes on "Underage" remain coherent with the musical universe of Le Couleur; whether nu-disco, electro-house, or indie-dance, the Underage Remix EP will accompany you until spring, when you can catch Le Couleur live. The band has announced showcases during SXSW and live dates in Canada and Europe before the summer.
