Lauren Aquilina Releases New Single 'Tobacco In My Sheets'

Following her recent release 'If Looks Could Kill', UK singer-songwriter Lauren Aquilina has delivered her brand new single 'Tobacco In My Sheets'.

A stunning embodiment of Lauren's soaring vocal talents and raw songwriting skills, the track displays the Bristol-born artist's emotive signature style, serving as an ode to heartbreak.

"The track took about 6 months to write in total," explains Lauren. "It's one of the most honest songs I've ever written because I penned it as a letter to my Mum about how I was using alcohol and drugs after my first heartbreak. Eventually I went into the studio with my close friend and collaborator Jonny Hockingsto finish the song, and playing it to Mum was one of the most nerve-wracking moments of my life. Luckily she loved it...even though she cried, a lot!"

Famed for her piano-led ballads, Lauren was thrust into the spotlight thanks to a trilogy of formative EPs. The releases led to her working alongside some of pop's hottest names, including Little Mix, BloodPop,Lost Kings, FLETCHER, and Rina Sawayama. Lauren also went on to support Taylor Swift on the Grammy winner's 'The 1989 World Tour' before taking a three-year hiatus prior to her triumphant 2018 return led by 'Psycho'. The track - taken from her forthcoming EP - has racked up over 2 million combined streams so far.

Following her recent performances at London venue The Garage and her sold-out Manchester show,Lauren is currently supporting Sasha Sloan on her North American tour, playing sold-out shows in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, and more.

Set to headline LA's famed School Night on April 8th, Lauren's heart-wrenching new single 'Tobacco In My Sheets' arrives in the midst of the tour, with the release now available worldwide on all streaming platforms.
