California-based powerhouse duo Lafa Taylor & Aabo share their track "Falling" feat. Goapele today via Billboard. The song comes off their forthcoming debut album FEEL, a remarkable collaborative project that pairs classic house with the emotive nature of R&B and the soul of hip-hop.

Recorded between the SF Bay Area, Portland, and Tokyo, FEEL explores existential themes with an unprecedented sound that's obscurely reminiscent of Fela Kuti or Frank Ocean, while keeping its roots in dance music. Individual artists in their own right, the two long-time friends conceived the project on a tour bus at a festival and set out to bring people something entirely novel to the game that fans can still move their minds and bodies to. FEEL features previously released singles "Turn My Music Up" and "Run To Me".

Lafa Taylor has been working the hip-hop/r&b/electronic scene for years. He's been heard as a vocal collaborator with US-festival giant Bassnectar and their latest track "Speakerbox" is featured in the trailer for the blockbuster film The Fate of the Furious, the eighth movie in The Fast and the Furious franchise. His prowess and ingenuity as a writer and vocalist is highlighted on FEEL, alongside the unique production style brought to the table by his collaborative partner. Aabo, honing on his background in jazz and world music, has supported artists such as FKJ, Gramatik, Barclay Crenshaw (Claude Von Stroke's latest project), SoSupersam, and more.

FEEL is just the beginning for the synergistic duo. As Lafa Taylor & Aabo prep for release this summer, keep your eyes out for upcoming remixes by Vindata (OWSLA), Soulection-affiliated producer, Mikos Da Gawd, as well as Wantigga, from french-house label Roche Musique.
