Lady Gaga Tweets Further Details/Lyrics for New Single 'Applause'

The countdown is on for Lady Gaga's new single, 'Applause.' On Sunday, the singer has tweeted out additional lyrics from the new song, giving fans a taste of what is to come.

Included in the new lyrics: 'i stand here waiting/ for you to bang the gong/ to crash the critic saying/ is it right or is it wrong?' and 'Give me that thing that I love/ Put your hands up make 'em touch/ A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E.'

The superstar also took time to thank her fans, who are one of the most dedicated in music today, writing: 'Thank you monsters & street teams for initiating ARTPOP revolution. Your passion is beautiful & we love you. We can't wait to see you dance!'

In the next two weeks, Gaga will release the music video for the lead single. The 27 year old is scheduled to take the stage at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

The performer is returning after suffering an injury that threatened the future of her career. She now appears to be back with a vengeance.
