LVI Music to Release Movie Soundtrack for RED HOOK BLACK, 6/21

LVI Music will release the original movie soundtrack for Red Hook Black with Paradigm Agency actor, Kyle Fields (Marco) and James Jackson (Damian) on June 21, 2011. Malgrate Festival (Lake Como) winner, Michael Bianco composed the score, in collaboration with writer/director Luis Landivar (lyrics), and featured performances by acclaimed guitar Dario Forzato. The soundtrack album also showcases songs by international recording artists (including Ijah Thompson ["IF" on ITUNES]).

Red Hook Black: the Original Movie Soundtrack has a distinctive Top-20 flavor. Landivar said, "We have Paradigm Agency's Kyle Fields starring as Marco, an Italian/Irish American dockworker and James Jackson as Damian, a Black American IT manager. I felt that the music needed to cover the diversity of our cast and the influences of Americana in the score."

To achieve this, Landivar reached out to Michael Bianco. "I've been a big fan of Enigmusica Productions for some time," said Landivar, "and I asked him if he wanted to collaborate on a Nashville style country song, "Wake Up and Stand Tall" that I had envisioned for the ending. We developed a wonderful rapport, and I asked Michael to collaborate on the film score as well. I think you can feel the magic in the music."

Michael Bianco is a rising talent on the London music scene. The collaboration with Luis Landivar is Michael's first feature film score-an exciting and defining moment in Bianco's career. His willingness to explore new rhythms and to embrace the collaborative nature of the filmmaking process, as well as his versatility in any particular genre, speaks to the musical genius of Michael Bianco.

For a key scene in the movie with Kyle Fields (Paradigm Agency) and Danielle Lozeau (Legion), Michael composed a piece that while elegantly sparse in instrumental virtuosity touches upon the human soul. Also imparting a Rock flavor to the music during an intense flashback sequence is acclaimed guitar Dario Forzato.

Written and directed by Luis Landivar, the movie captures the essence of everyday life, the exhilaration of forbidden love, and examines the existential nature of the everyday working man (Kyle Fields as Marco - Paradigm Agency).
