LPX, the moniker of Lizzy Plapinger of MS MR, Neon Gold Records co-founder and a VEVO host, has revealed her brand new single "Slide" via Billboard here. With the release of "Slide" - a tortured love song inspired by the pulsating energy of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Le Tigre, co written with and produced by Jenny N*E*R*D (Jenn Decilveo) - LPX has announced her forthcoming debut EP, Bolt In The Blue, slated for release on January 12th, 2018. LPX will be taking the stage at the Neon Gold Holiday Pop Shop at Baby's All Right on December 12th, see more details here.
"'Slide' is equal parts passion and infatuation, anger and disbelief. It only hurts this much because it was that good, a double edged sword that keeps on digging." explains Lizzy, "On a personal note, working with Jenn was one of my first experiences ever working with a female producer and it was a uniquely different and liberating moment just being two women in the studio that is deeply meaningful to me. Jenn seamlessly pulled out all the emotional and sonic nuances of what I wanted to communicate. " The six-track EP collection of songs - featuring "Slide", "Tightrope", and "Tremble" - was executively produced by James Flannigan. The first two tracks on the EP were mixed by Rich Costey, the remaining four, mixed by John O'Mahoney. LPX's debut solo releases have been praised by Interview Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, Nylon, OUT Magazine, and Vogue who called her "a force to be reckoned with."Stream "Slide"
