LA-based alt-rock outfit Wildling have released their EP here today via Warner Bros. Records. The five-track EP includes upbeat foot-stomper "Leavin'," the surf guitar rustle of "Lilywhite," and the infectious opening track "Hummingbird," which was just announced as part of the soundtrack for EA Games' upcoming NHL 18. Produced by the GRAMMY® Award-winning Joe Chiccarelli [The Strokes, The Killers, Elton John, Young The Giant] and Alex Salibian [Harry Styles, Elle King], here serves as Wildling's official major label debut and is available everywhere today.

Listen to "Hummingbird":
Having already grown deep musical roots in L.A., vocalist Ryan Levine and keyboardist Andrew Ampaya set the foundation for Wildling when they joined forces to record the song "Hummingbird." After meeting Erik Janson at the prestigious ASCAP Lester Still workshop and bonding over their shared influences, from Roxy Music to Gorillaz, Ryan asked Erik to join as guitarist. With the final addition of Ryan's younger brother Justin to play bass, Wildling was born, and they hit the stage for their first live show at The Satellite in L.A. "It's a very L.A. story," laughs Ryan. "You're trying to do everything you can to stay above water and keep making music no matter what, so we did...but it really was ["Hummingbird"] that helped us become this band."
With "Hummingbird" as a launch pad, things clicked into place pretty quickly for Wildling, with their debut performance at The Satellite landing them a coveted one-month residency at the venue and earning them a rabid local following. Within a year, Wildling secured several high-profile syncs with Donna Karan, EA Sports, and ABC's Nashville and accompanied Young the Giant on their North American run, before inking with Warner Bros. Records earlier this year.
Wildling have upcoming performances at two L.A. festivals - Sunstock Solar on September 9, and Wixen Music Authentic Voices Festival on September 23 - with more live dates to be announced soon. See http://wildlingmusic.com/ for further info.
