Sire Records has signed rock 'n' roll phenomenon King Leg. Born in Nebraska, "discovered" in Nashville and now occupying Los Angeles, King Leg's debut single "Great Outdoors" is available beginning today. This infectious dose of distinctively American rock 'n' roll comes from his upcoming album which will be released later this year. Seymour Stein picks up the story from here: "I was very excited when Warner Bros. Records' legendary producer and executive Lenny Waronker told me about a new artist, King Leg, and he thought that Sire would be a great home for him and his music." Stein explains, "King Leg makes American Music. It is Rock & Roll, with a nod to R&B and Country - which as we know, helped to usher in Rock & Roll back in the 1950s. The lightning rod for Rock & Roll was when Elvis Presley signed to RCA in 1956 and put out 'Heartbreak Hotel.' When I heard King Leg's music, I was totally blown away - not just by the immediacy of the songs, but also the extraordinary voice - reminiscent of the great Roy Orbison. King Leg may be young, but musically he is fully mature. I'm sure you'll love the first single, "Great Outdoors." It sounds like a hit to me. Click here to listen to "Great Outdoors" by King Leg
