Los Angeles indie artist Kina Grannis is thrilled to announce a full World Tour this fall in support of her sophomore studio full-length, Elements. Set to kick off here in the States on October 15th in Minneapolis, Grannis, joined by her full band, will make her way through the Midwest and East Coast before closing out the first leg of tour at NYC's Stage 48 on October 30th. Then she'll hop on a plane and take on Europe through Thanksgiving before heading home to the West Coast in December. She'll wrap up the extensive tour with a hometown show at LA's Fonda Theatre on December 12th. Grannis will be joined on all dates by Imaginary Future.
The tour follows an incredibly successful and entirely sold out mini-tour that Grannis set out on this spring directly following the May 6th release of her sophomore album, Elements, via Kina Grannis Music/One Haven. Elements barreled onto the charts, making a number of notable entries including an overall Top 50 debut on the Billboard 200, #4 Folk Albums (Billboard), and #2 Singer-Songwriter Album (iTunes). With the help of producer Matt Hales (aka Aqualung), Elements offered fans a peek into Kina's mindset over the past two years. Through multiple writing retreats, getting married, and experiencing the loss of her grandfather, Grannis opened up on an album that became a collection of beautiful reflections on love, loss, and life's fragility and fleetingness in the form of organically arranged indie-pop tunes. The album is the follow up to Grannis' breakout debut Stairwells. She released her first song - "Message From Your Heart" - and its accompanying music video in 2007 and immediately connected with millions of fans after it aired to almost 100 million viewers during Super Bowl XLII. Shortly after, Kina released her first full-length album, Stairwells, which made strong debuts on the Billboard 200 and hit #2 on Heatseekers, thanks largely in part to her devoted online following. In the years since, she's amassed an incredible near 1 million YouTube subscribers and 150 million views on the platform alone.Videos
