Kim Frankiewicz has been appointed Managing Director of Imagem Music UK, the pop music publishing arm of the Imagem Music Group.
Frankiewicz will report to John Minch, CEO of Imagem UK, and will begin her new role on March 1, 2012. She joins Imagem Music after 15 years at Universal Music Publishing, where she was Vice President of International.
Starting her career at MMA Management, one of Australia’s largest artist management companies, she became Managing Director of MMA Music Publishing in 1988 and subsequently ran the successful independent label rooArt Records before moving to New York to join Universal Music Publishing in 1997. She relocated to the UK in 2000.
Kim Frankiewicz said, “I am genuinely honored to have been given this opportunity to work with the team at Imagem. In just four years, they have built a vibrant and dynamic company that is the template for modern music publishing. My main priorities will be to maintain an environment in which new talent can make great music alongside our existing roster of world class songwriters, and to look for new ways to create exciting new creative and commercial opportunities for everyone we represent.”
John Minch said, “We now have a great senior management team at Imagem. Kim is a proven leader with a wealth of experience in music publishing and an international track record second to none. She will bring energy and insight to her new role and her appointment is a real coup for us.”
The US office of Imagem Music welcomes Frankiewicz as well. Richard Stumpf, President of Imagem Music USA, said, "I’m very excited that Kim is joining our team. She is someone with a fantastic reputation in the business and I look forward to a very successful ‘cross the pond’ collaboration. I couldn’t be happier having our roster under her care in such a critical territory.”
