Kideko Releases New Single GOOD THING For Ministry of Sound

Kideko's new single for Ministry of Sound is the almighty 'Good Thing', available from 13th April, and set to become one of this summer's biggest anthems. 'Good Thing' (with a nostalgic vocal performance from London based vocalist, Alex Mills) hits that pop jam/club cut sweet spot, with Kideko (aka Ryan Hurley) dialing down the BPMs and turning up the funk for 3 minutes of brilliant, contemporary electronic music.

Written and produced by the young British DJ/producer, 'Good Thing' is Kideko's third single for Ministry of Sound, following his collaborations with Tinie Tempah & Becky G ('Dum Dum'), and his breakthrough chart hit with Nadia Rose, George Kwali, and Sweetie Irie ('Crank It'). To date, Kideko's amassed over 45 million combined streams, 7 million YouTube views, and in excess of 1.1 million Shazams, and 'Good Thing' will no doubt bolster the 25 year old's already impressive list of stats.

Much like his heroes Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, and Armand Van Helden, Kideko balances a pop sensibility with the ability to create dancefloor-destroying club anthems; this deft combination is why he's championed by Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Danny Howard, MistaJam, Dance Anthems, and Toddla T at Radio 1, plus Kiss, Kiss Fresh, Capital, Capital Xtra, Fatboy Slim, Gorgon City, and the likes of David Guetta, and daytime radio.

Currently in the studio working with MNEK, Riton, TCTS, Blonde, and Icarus, Kideko is one of the most sought after writers and producers in British dance music. In the past year, he's released collaborations with George Kwali ('All On Me'), Friend Within ('Burning Up' on Rinse) and Aprés ('Get The Funk' on Subsoul). Ryan has also worked with Example, Alex Metric, Jauz, Tom Zanetti, Lord Leopard, Alika, and Sonny Fodera. Co-writes and co-productions include Jaguar Skills ft. Double S 'Levelz', Icarus 'King Kong', Tough Love ft. A.M.E 'Closer To Love', Tender Central 'Lava', and Rothwell 'Freedom'. He's also remixed the likes of Disciples, Galantis, Sigma, Sub Focus, The Magician, Snakehips, Imany, John Newman, and Off Bloom.

Summer 2018 Kideko shows include Creamfields, SW4, and Boardmasters. Past gig highlights include playing for Radio 1 live in Ibiza, We Are Fstvl, Wild Life, Lovebox, Tramlines, Creamfields, and Reading/Leeds, plus Cream Amnesia with Danny Howard and Fatboy Slim (Fatboy Slim also performed alongside Kideko and George Kwali at one of their Secret Special Guest parties in Brighton).

Kideko will celebrate the launch of 'Good Thing' on Friday lunchtime (13/04/2018 at 2pm BST) with a special DJ set streamed live on his and Ministry of Sound's Facebook pages.
