The Oslo-based six-piece indie pop collective Kid Astray have released their irresistible debut single entitled "The Mess". Brimming with melodic hooks, jubilant Brit pop guitars, and an unforgettable chorus, "The Mess" is a journey through '80's like synth landscapes that engulfs you with its warm floating harmonies and driving percussion.

Kid Astray - band members Benjamin Giørtz (lead vocals/keys), Elizabeth Wu (keys/percussion/vocals), Jakob Bechmann Hansen (drums/vocals), Alex Meek (guitar), Even Steine (guitar), and Håkon Sageng Carlin (bass) - wrote, recorded, mixed, and mastered the indie-pop gem in only six hours. The song went on to be awarded "Untouched Song of the Week" on their national Norwegian National Broadcaster NRK radio and has remained on the playlist of 25 weeks and counting. More recently, Sirius XM'S Alt Nation took notice and has been spinning the track upwards of 30 times a week. For an outfit literally just out of high school (ages ranging 18 -19), the future looks bright for these Norwegians who recently recorded their first set of songs that make up its debut EP, fittingly titled "Easily Led Astray" which will be released physically on July 9thvia Boombox / Mom+Pop Records.

Stay tuned for new remixes, videos, and U.S. dates to be announced in the coming months.
