2013 is going to be a mammoth year for actress/ comedian Kerry Godliman. Co-starring opposite Ricky Gervais in his new drama comedy 'DEREK', on channel 4 (due for transmission in early 2013), Kerry plays society outsider Derek's (Gervais) unlucky in love, nursing home co-worker and friend in the new series. She will also make a lead appearance in 'OUR GIRL' alongside Lacey Turner for the BBC (due out in Spring 2013) and has a guest lead in the new series 'FRANKIE' also for the BBC later next year. As a comedian she has made a big leap by both writing and starring in 'KERRY'S LIST' for Radio 4 (f2013) and an appearance on the highly prized LIVE AT THE APOLLO for BBC1 on 24th November this year.
Trained at the Rose Bruford College, Kerry has been in numerous TV and theatre productions- she was one of the stars of Channel 4's sketch show Spoons ("Very funny and very rude comedy of the week" Radio Times) and has been seen in; (amongst others) BBC's 'Silk' (with Maxine Peak and Rupert Penry Jones) BBC 3's Rush Hour, BBC 2's Home Time (Baby Cow), Extras, Miranda and C4's The Law of the Playground, Life's Too Short, White Van Man and Getting On. Her theatre credits include; England People Very Very Nice at The Royal National Theatre.
Her stand up career continues to blossom. Kerry's appeared in clubs across the UK and her talent and comedic skill initially came to public attention following her appearance in the first Michael McIntyre Roadshow, and during her first major tour support with Mickey Flanagan. In 2011 she appeared in her own critically acclaimed show 'WONDER WOMAN' at The Edinburgh Fringe, which she went on to perform at The Soho Theatre earlier this year.
