Kentucky's Twang And Round Release Video for New Single 'Dope Boy' Image

Kentucky based country/AmeriFlow duo Twang And Round are back with another brand new single and video for "Dope Boy" available online at https://youtu.be/jtkYzGiI8ZQ. The track is the latest single from Twang and Round's upcoming new album, which is scheduled to be released in early 2018 via Thirteen Skulls Entertainment.

"The concept of the song is, you can't judge a book by its cover. Regardless of who you really are in real life, there will always be this outward perception of you. No matter what struggles you may encounter in life, you never give up. We co-wrote the song with Taylor Thompson 'Taylor James', a great musician from Kentucky, at The Hideaway at our personal studio. The song and concept originated as a freestyle that Twang spit and that developed into the full song. The song became a great mixture of gritty delivery mixed with an upbeat melody that resonated throughout the record," commented Twang and Round's Vernon Roach about the track. "For the video, we love rich storylines and the treatment was created by Jon Conner and David Ray from I4NI, our label mates at Thirteen Skulls. The video depicts a teenager overhearing his parents struggling with bills. He then takes it upon himself to go out and hustle music. The video subliminally portrays us as kingpins pushing music and we felt this was a brilliant way to show the concept visually of what we had done musically."

Take a couple of Kentucky boys - Vernon Roach (a.k.a "Kuntry Twang") and Brad Davis (a.k.a "Lil Round") - who share a musical palette that ranges from Credence Clearwater, The Black Crowes, and Lynyrd Skynyrd to UGK, OutKast, and Beastie Boys, then mix in a little moonshine and you get Twang And Round. With a unique sound that bridges the gaps between country and hip-hop, Twang And Round immediately began to warm the hearts of fans who love to have fun, share a couple drinks, and roll through the heartland with the windows rolled down. The group's blue-collar work ethic and comedic escapades have led to them stack up more than 6 million plays on YouTube, 4 million plays on Spotify, appear on the "Mud Digger" compilation series, and collaborate with genre heavyweights like Big Smo, Bubba Sparxx, Sarah Ross (from American Idol), and Jawga Boyz. Twang And Round mix together a unique blend of country, hip-hop, and southern rock, which has been dubbed "AmeriFlow".

Thirteen Skulls Entertainment is focused on the "AmeriFlow" genre, which is a musical hybrid of country, rap, and rock. The label provides a full range of services in a fast-changing music business and offers artists a home with the necessary tools to nurture and incubate creativity without constraints. Focused on putting out authentic music, Thirteen Skulls Entertainment's legacy will be defined by creativity and uncompromising commitment to artistry. The label was founded by music industry veteran Ron A. Spaulding and Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Frank Thomas.

Twang And Round will close out the year playing shows throughout December.
