Known for their smooth R&B songs with an atypical song structure over hard hitting trap beats, Canadian duo Heartstreets release their newest single "Blind," produced by Kaytranada on The FADER. A sultry tune reminiscent of 90s R&B, the duo croons and raps over minimalist production, their silky voices creating an aura of mystery and sultriness.
"We know it all, and we still act as if we were blind, changes come within us, we see the signs, recognize now is the time, is the time."
Inseparable since elementary school, members Gab Godon and Emma Beko bonded over their love of dancing and 90s hip-hop. They sang together throughout their schooling but they did not begin creating music until a wine-filled night that led to freestyling and organically Heartstreets was born.
Featured on Nylon last December as one of five Canadian bands you should be listening to right now, the Montreal-based duo has achieved many successes including garnering over 2 million streams on Spotify for their hit "Cruising
With You. produced by Soulection's DaP and performed alongside artists like The Internet, Gallant, Daniel Caesar, Charlotte Cardin, Busty and the Bass and
Dead Obies among many. Seasoned festival performers, Heartstreets have graced the stages at Osheaga, Pop Montreal, North by Northeast, Canadian Music Week, M for Montreal, Festival d'été de Québec, and
Montreal International Jazz Festival.
