COMEDY CENTRAL announced today that international superstar Katy Perry joins the all-star roster of celebrities participating in the network's biennial autism benefit hosted by Jon Stewart. In honor of this charity, Perry will treat the audience to a one-time only special performance of "Firework" at NIGHT OF TOO MANY STARS: America Comes Together for Autism Programs." The special will tape in New York City at the Beacon Theatre on Saturday, October 13 and will premiere on COMEDY CENTRAL on Saturday, October 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

This year's event will feature the theme "America Comes Together," featuring pairings of celebrity rivals or polar opposites coming together and agreeing that Autism is a cause worth supporting. The show will premiere on COMEDY CENTRAL on Sunday, October 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT with additional live wrap-arounds from "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" studio in New York City, featuring a celebrity phone bank, allowing viewers to call in during the airing to donate while speaking and even video chatting with additional stars and comedic heavyweights. Stewart will also host the live wrap-arounds.

Previously announced talent includes Hannibal Buress, Bill Burr, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, Tom Morello, Tracy Morgan, Amy Poehler and Seth Rogen at the Beacon Theatre for the taping on Saturday, October 13. Matthew Broderick, Anderson Cooper, Jimmy Kimmel, Julianne Moore and Meredith Vieira will be joining Fred Armisen, Andy Cohen, Jack McBrayer, Bob Saget, Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Sudeikis manning the phone bank during the live event on October 21.

Katy Perry has cemented her status as a best-selling superstar with the global success of her second studio album, Teenage Dream, which debuted at #1 in eight countries and has spent every week in Billboard's Top 200 album sales chart since its release two years ago. She became the only female artist to have five #1 singles from one album on the Billboard Top 100 chart ("California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "Firework," "E.T." and "Last Friday Night"). The recently-released special edition, Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, added "Part of Me" and "Wide Awake" to Katy's list of nine Top 40 chart-toppers (dating back to her multiplatinum debut album, 2008's One of the Boys, which generated four hit singles: "I Kissed A Girl," "Hot N Cold," "Thinking of You" and "Waking Up In Vegas"). In 2011, she sold out arenas around the globe on her California Dreams Tour. The tour was the subject of this year's 3D feature film, "Katy Perry: Part Of Me," which is already the fourth biggest music documentary of all time, outpacing films from Madonna, U2, and the Rolling Stones.
