Once again, Detroit's own, Karen Newman, invites audiences to experience "Christmas Eve on Woodward Avenue" at the historic Fox Theatre tonight, December 3 at 7:30 p.m.; as part of the Fifth Third Bank Fox Theatre Series.

Tickets ($25, $35 and $45) go on sale Friday, October 3 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, The Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. To charge tickets by phone, call (800) 745-3000. Discounts are available for groups of eight or more by calling group sales at (313)-471-3099. For additional information, call (313) 471-6611.

For nearly two decades, Newman has captivated crowds at Joe Louis Arena with her signature rendition of the national anthem and now metro-Detroit can celebrate the holidays with the local icon at the Fox Theatre as it's beautifully decorated for the season. "Christmas Eve on Woodward Avenue" is titled after Newman's holiday hit single, which has become a seasonal tradition on local radio and in Detroit's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and will feature original songs and holiday favorites.
