Over the years, the Tizer Jazz Quarter has taken their multi-faceted world fusion vibe around the globe, galvanizing thousands. And now this 2011 nominee for "Jazz Group of the Year" will bring their talents to the Centenary Stage on Saturday, January 18th at 8 p.m., featuring Karen Briggs on jazz violin.

Tizer has a multi-genre, multi-national appeal that expands beyond just jazz enthusiasts. Their diverse resume includes performance slots alongside musicians like Jethro Tull, Isaac Hayes, Al Jarreau, George Benson, Babyface, Bruce Hornsby and Robin Thicke. They bring an intensity with expansive arrangements and exciting soloing to each concert.

Often described as "that lady in red", Karen Briggs' fiery performances on jazz violin in the multi-platinum selling, "Yanni: Live at the Acropolis" PBS special have been seen by literally millions of people around the world. Karen has been recognized for her "immaculate" violin-playing technique with performances at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts, and was featured with Diana Ross on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Tizer Jazz Quartet tickets are $22.50 for adults and $15 for children under 12, when purchased in advance. Ticket prices increase $5 when purchased at the door.
